Biochar (biological charcoal), produced by heating organic materials such as wood and dry branches at very high degrees, improves the structure of the soil, its water and nutrient holding capacity, and prevents the release of various greenhouse gases into the nature.
It is obtained by transforming biomass of plant or animal origin in an oxygen-free environment at a temperature of 400 to 700 degrees.
